Smartphone, Tablet & Desktop

Start by downloading the Orax SDI App on your smartphone and tablet (from the App Store or Play Store). Once connected you're ready to go mobile.


Use an Internet Browser (like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) on your Desktop or Tablet. To make accessing this application quick and convenient, you need to create a "Favourite" or "Home Screen App" on your device.

NOTE: For the application URL we'll use https://yourcompany.oraxsdi.com. You should substitute "yourcompany" with the name that your application uses.


Web App on your Tablet or SmartPhone:
On a SmartPhone or Tablet you can alternatively create a web app with a Home Screen icon instead of installing the Orax SDI App from the App Store or Play Store. This is sometimes useful for barcode scanning or other features. Here are the instructions for creating your Home Screen App on Android and iOS devices.

Android Smartphones & Tablets
Connect to https://yourcompany.oraxsdi.com using Google Chrome, then tap the Options (three dots) menu in the right-top corner to create a Home Screen icon. Now use the Home Screen icon to launch the app.

Use Google Chrome browser:


Enter your URL (1) and then tap the options menu (2):


Tap add to Home screen:


Change the name if you want and tap ADD:


You now have an Icon on your Home Screen:



iPhone or iPad
Connect to https://yourcompany.oraxsdi.com using Safari. When you see the login screen tap the Share icon to create a Home Screen icon. Now use the Home Screen icon to launch the app.

Use Safari to connect:


Enter your URL (1) and then tap the Share icon (2):


Tap add to Home screen:


Change the name if you want and tap Add:


You now have an Icon on your Home Screen:



Desktop on a PC or Mac:
Connect to https://yourcompany.oraxsdi.com from your internet browser. When you see the login screen press "Control-D" on your keyboard (Command-D on Mac) to create a favourite or bookmark. Name your bookmark and save it. Placing a bookmark in your "Favorites" (or Bookmarks bar on Mac) will give you convenient access to the app. Next time you need to connect, simple select the bookmark/favourite you created.

 

    Up    Next
